We got our dog as a 6 wk old pup and she just started doing it. We would rub her belly and she would do it. We finally figured out she just wants us to run more. If we stop, she does it again and again until we tell her no more. Not one person taught her to do this at all. I’ve seen animals do it just because they can (I know for a fact my niece’s dog was NOT taught to do it) so don’t make assumptions
