I foster and cry like a baby each time. It breaks your heart but also you know that dog is going to a great home AND it gives me a room here to accept more babies who are on “the list” to be euthanized at a high kill shelter. Every time I’ve fostered and given them to their forever family, I cry once I’m in the car. I don’t want the furbaby to see me sad or upset because they would think something was wrong when it’s really all right. I keep in touch with most of my former fosters and it makes my heart happy when their forever family posts an update. The struggle is real but I know it's for the best.
