It’s easier than you think. Not every dog fits in your household. It is fine temporarily. I have fostered 47 dogs and have only kept 3. Not to mention that you dont feel that intimate connection with every dog you foster either. I fostered an English cocker spaniel- I have an American Cocker. When his new family met me in the parking lot — best people ever — I cried in my car for 15 mins after they left. He is a very happy dog, I helped him get a wonderful life. My cocker is a rescue and I have fostered a Scottish Terrier as well a long time ago when I had Scotties. Sad to see them go but happy to see the life they will have. Dear Santa I really did try To Be a Nice Baseball Mom But My Mouth Sweatshirt. Thank goodness there are people that can foster. I’ve fostered kittens & yes it is so hard to them go. I had 7 of my own cats at one time because of ‘foster failure’ as we jokingly call it
