But doesn’t mouse/rat poison end up harming whatever eats them…possibly other birds? Not 100% on what they’re using though, hopefully, it doesn’t end up biting them in the butt. They need to place thousands of water filled buckets with baited ‘walk the plank’ mouse traps around the island. They can enclose the traps with chicken wire to keep the birds from eating the bait. This will actually work very well and will drastically reduce the rodent population on the island. I wish the poison option wasn’t the only way. Secondary poisoning of other birds and snakes might occur. I got an idea release like 20 male cats and only male so no reproducing happens than when the mouse population has declined to bring 1 female cat out to catch the males done easy
