I would rather buy new furniture than to declaw my cats. But I don’t have to do that, my leather furniture survives because I choose to take my time with the cats to teach them. Maybe people need to realize a pet isn’t a fashionable accessory and demands time. If you prefer to spend some cash to declaw them instead of teaching your furry friend, then I surely hope you don’t reproduce. I have 5 cats, all indoor, they all have their claws, guess what else they have? Cat trees, climbers, scratch pads and wood. They never scratch my furniture or people. Don’t get cats if you don’t want claws
