I had a 2-year-old german shepherd who was abused, starved and was a fighting dog. It took a long time for her to warm up to me. I was going through a bad time in my life where I was hurting inside and so was she and we worked through it together. After 4 months I introduced her to my 8-year-old and 4 years old and she loved them as much as she loved me. Breanna Haddock — I would continue being patient. Give him his space. My dog sleeps in his bed on the floor at night then jumps on my bed in the morning for an hour before we get up. That’s our cuddle time. I haven’t been able to have him stay on the bed all night. He gets startled when I move. Aaliyah Williams well he came from a backyard breeder and was neglected in terms of having his worms taken care of and his fleas. He was also the runt of his 8 puppy litter.
